Featured Project #2

Risk Management Training

This project involved designing a corporate-level microlearning course for a Fortune 500 financial services organization, focused on fraud prevention, compliance, and real-world behavior change. I built a full instructional blueprint, Rise 360 architecture with embedded Storyline 360 interactions, and adaptive pathways to create a high-impact, scalable solution aligned with business outcomes and learner engagement.

This microlearning incorporated Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, institutional branding, and accessibility standards to ensure every learner could engage meaningfully with the content.

Project Planning and Process Details

Design Document Process

A design document provides a comprehensive outline of course and plays a crucial role in the instructional design process. Developed the project's outset, it ensures all stakeholders share a common understanding. document details the business goals, target audience, learning objectives, training suggestions, the overall structure of the course.

I started the design document by reviewing project goals and core learning objectives to structure the course. I organized the content logically, outlining learner progression and development, while establishing the instructional strategy including scenarios, knowledge checks, multimedia, and engagement opportunities After defining learning outcomes and instructional flow, I documented delivery format,, interactions, and assessment strategy, ensuring alignment with measurable outcomes. Ultimately, the refined document served as a roadmap for storyboarding and development, maintaining consistency with the goals.

Storyboard

Once the Design Document is finalized and approved, a Storyboard is created to outline the structure, navigation, audio interactions, and other elements of the eLearning course. Storyboard captures the course's aesthetic and incorporates content, as a crucial step that acts as a comprehensive roadmap for development. It's essential for the developer to obtain approval stakeholders on all specifics and content before dedicating time and resources to the actual course creation.

I created a design document for the project, which guided the storyboard phase in developing a clear blueprint for Rise. Using the initial learning objectives and course flow, I focused on visual and interactive elements, detailing each slide's layout backgrounds, characters, and text, alongside technical for branding and navigation. After drafting all slides, I ensured alignment with the design document, incorporated features, and refined the storyboard into a comprehensive plan for efficient development in Rise.
